The infant's cradle consists of a back part (10) and a foot part (11), which parts are connected to one another in an articulated manner and are fastened in an articulated manner inside a case (16) which also serves as the standing frame. By actuating handle parts (32), a catch mechanism can be released, as a result of which it is possible to carry out a pivoting movement, in which the foot part (11) is placed flat in the case (16). At the same time, the lower continuation (103) of the back part is placed flat and the upper region (101) is pivoted about a transverse axis (15) in order to close the upper opening of the container (16).
