Differential transformers convert a thrust movement into a proportional electrical output signal. In order to convert a rotational movement into an electrical output signal, using a differential transformer, a device is required which converts the rotational movement into a thrust movement, without hysteresis. In such a device, a cylindrical body (2) having a helical thread (3) is arranged on a drive shaft (1). A resilient single-armed lever (4), which is supported such that it can pivot, has a spherical segment at its other end, which engages in the helical thread (3) on the cylindrical body (2), prestressed radially. The pivoting axis (5) of the lever (4) runs parallel to the vertical from the centre point of the spherical segment (6) to the drive shaft (1). The one end of the thrust rod (8), whose axis runs parallel to the drive shaft, is connected via a leaf spring (7) to the other end of the lever (4), while the other end of the thrust rod (8) is guided in a sliding bearing (9). The thrust rod (8) is, for example, the core rod of a differential transformer. <IMAGE>
