PURPOSE:To provide a feeder capable of smoothly feeding by varying a characteristic frequency with an extremely simple construction, by a method wherein an adjusting member for apparently varying the spring constant of a feeding member supporting a body and feeding the body is provided at a part of the feeding member. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a feeding belt 3 for feeding a carriage 6 of a printer, the adjusting member 10 is detachably fitted to the belt 3 at a position proximate to the carriage 6. The adjusting member 10 consists of, for example, an S-shaped elastic member. With the member 10 fitted to the belt 3, a bent part 3a is provided in the belt 3, whereby the spring constant of the belt 3 is varied, the characteristic frequency of the belt is varied, and resonance can be prevented from occurring. |
