PURPOSE:To prevent voids from occurring on the lower side of the gate mouth by providing the gate mouth part connecting with the cavity of a mold horizontally over the specified range along the parting line of the mold. CONSTITUTION:The bottom 9a' of the gate mouth 9' connecting with a cavity is dug down by a thickness (b) from the parting line 12 and the gate mouth 9' is engraved-in by a length (c) in the horizontal direction along the line 12 on the runner side. The bottom 8a' is inclined by an angle (a) from the termination (d) to connect with the bottom of the runner 7. |
