PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the size and weight by stopping the rotation of a magnet piston to a cylinder tube, and providing an electromagnetic coil at any of a piston and a magnet sleeve to generate a revolving magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A magnet piston 2 is provided inside a cylinder tube 1 formed of a nonmagnetic material, and a magnet sleeve 3 is provided outside, thereby constructing a rodless cylinder. The piston 2 is stopped in rotation to the tube 1, and an electromagnetic coil 4 is provided at any of the piston 2 and the sleeve 3 to generate a revolving magnetic filed. When a revolving magnetic field is generated by the coil 4, the piston 2 is rotated by following to the revolving magnetic field, and the rotation integral with the tube 2 is applied to the tube 2. When a tool is mounted on the tube 2, a linear motion and a rotary motion can be freely applied thereto. |
