PURPOSE:To execute an assembly without using an adhesive agent by inserting a tapered tail part of the rear part of a ferrule into a tapered hole of a connector body, pushing it into the tapered hole by a ferrule push-in nut, compressing the ferrule, and clamping and fixing an optical fiber core in the ferrule. CONSTITUTION:A stopper nut 17, a connector body 8 and a connector connecting nut 15 are fitted in advance to an optical fiber core 19. The tip part of the optical fiber core 19 projected from the connector body 8 is made to pass through a ferrule 1, an optical fiber 21 of the tip is made to pass through a fiber positioning hole 4 of the ferrule 1, and the tip surface of made to coincide with the tip surface of the ferrule 1. A tapered tail part 5 of the ferrule 1 is inserted into a tapered hole 9 of the body 8, and a nut 13 is screwed to the body 8. A stepped part 1A of the ferrule 1 is pushed by the nut 13, the tapered tail part 5 is pushed into the tapered hole 9, and the core 19 is clamped and fixed through an elastic material layer 7. |
