Apparatus for holing roadways

During the holing of roadways in underground mining and tunnelling, an apparatus is used which is arranged partly in the back-ripped roadway and partly in the roadway still to be holed. Both sections, formed by the working platform on the one hand and by a ripping tunnel on the other hand, can be moved and displaced independently of one another. The ripping tunnel consists of individual segments which can be rigidly connected to one another. In particular, joints which can be made rigid are provided here, the rigid connection being obtained, for example, by limit plates which can be inserted and are to be locked. Another possibility is to use radial-tooth connections which are rendered operative or inoperative via screw bolts. <IMAGE>
