Thigh cuffs for orthopaedic purposes which are made of a thermoplastic and whose width can be adapted to suit the circumference of a thigh by means of an adjustable closure have the disadvantage in that overlapping edge regions of the cuff may be displaced relative to one another in the longitudinal direction of the thigh on movement of the latter, so that the cuff is no longer in contact with the correct place on the thigh and pressure points causing vascular congestion are produced. This is prevented, according to the invention, in that at least one slotted guide (11, 21; 11', 21') extending in the circumferential direction of the cuff is provided in the overlapping edge regions (1, 2) of the cuff. <IMAGE>
