PURPOSE:To obtain a rotor having a light weight, and thermal strength in a high speed rotation by strengthening both ends of a rotor body made of a light metal material of SiC fiber. CONSTITUTION:A flange 1 which forms the end of a rotor is compositely formed by preforming SiC fiber woven cloth in the end shape and impregnating it with aluminum alloy. A rotor body 2 is formed of Al-Si alloy which has high thermal resistance and wear resistance such as AC8A or AC9A. The flange 1 and the body 2 are inserted into a die 3 of a forging machine, forged by a press 4, and the flange 1 is pressed to the body 2. Thus, a rotor which has a light weight, high thermal strength and a durability for high speed rotation can be obtained. |
