Device for controlling the compressor of gas turbine engines

In the case of the device the compressor can be controlled by compressor guide vane adjustment and/or compressor air release in such a way that the compressor air which is always to be released in the low partial load range can be fed into the areas of the engine inlet for de-icing and thereupon fed to the engine main flow upstream of the first compressor stage. At the same time the compressor air release and engine inlet de-icing may advantageously be operable by means of a single valve. For an extremely low design cost, optimum compressor control and inlet de-icing is thereby ensured without having to accept any significant interference in the compressor characteristic curve or power losses.
