Process for removing paint layers

The removal of paint layers from a holding device for a product after application of the product paint is improved by using the sort of holding device which has a critical surface tension, so that a paint adhering to this surface easily breaks and is detached when treated with a low-temperature coolant. After treatment with the low-temperature coolant, the paint is removed from the holding device by means of non-metallic solids not based on silica or by means of gas or a liquid, which exert a sufficient force for effective removal of the paint.
