A method for the vibratory grinding of parts in round vibrators is described in which, despite a single pass, high flexibility can be achieved with regard to the treatment time without increasing the annular-trough dimensions. For this purpose, the quantity of abrasive bodies and parts to be treated is first of all selected in such a way that the total quantity cannot surmount the approach ramp, a defined new quantity of abrasive bodies and parts to be treated is supplied after completion of a predeterminable treatment time in the annular-trough area situated outside the separating-screen area, and this new mixture is used to effect the discharge of the mixture already located beforehand in the annular trough.
