摘要 The robot comprises a stationary base on which a trunk is rotatably and vertically mounted. A robot arm extends from and contracts into the front side of the trunk, having a wrist rotatably mounted to its outermost free end and rotated by an electric motor. The motor is provided in a compartment at the opposite side of the arm by a shaft. The compartment contains motors for effecting a swinging motion of the wrist for moving the arm and is mounted at the trunk so that the motors are stationary w.r.t. the arm motion. The driving forces for the wrist motions are transferred by shafts from the motors to reduction gears in the wrist. The two shaft of the robot arm are fixed to a common end plate threadedly engaging a ball screw shaft for effecting movement of the arm.
