The material for the magnetic core preferably consists of an amorphous magnetic alloy of the formula (Fe1-aMa)bN100-b in which M is at least one element, selected from the group comprising Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Hf, Ta, W, Re and rare earth metals; N is at least one element selected from the group comprising Si, B, P and C; and a and b are numbers which correspond to the relationships 0 </= a </= 0.12 and 76 </= b </= 85. <IMAGE>
