Polymers of diagnostic monomers, such as enzymes, tagged polypeptides, tagged polyols, tagged polyolefins or tagged carbohydrates, can be used to visualize the connection between a detecting agent, such as an antibody or a complementary polynucleotide sequence, and its target molecule. These visualization polymers chemically amplify the very small quantity of detected target molecule. <IMAGE>
