A heat sensitive record material comprising a support sheet and a heat sensitive record layer formed on the support sheet, the heat sensitive record layer being composed essentially of a colorless or light-colored electron-donating colorless dye, an acidic substance which is thermally reactive with the electron-donating colorless dye to develop a color and a binder, characterized in that said heat sensitive record layer contains an effective amount of at least one anilide compound represented by the general formula:
