<p>In a process for dissolving and pumping cellulose mass or waste paper, the material is pre-defibrated in a revolving drum and pumped by means of a pump in which the final dissolution takes place. Preliminary and final dissolution are carried out at a high consistency of 6-18%, preferably 8-12%. The equipment for carrying out the process comprises a rotary drum (3) which is fitted with a scooping vane (2) and at one end of which an inlet opening (4) for the material to be dissolved is located, and means (6) for receiving the dissolved material and for passing it to the inlet (8) of a centrifugal pump (7) fitted with a defibration rotor (10). <IMAGE></p> |
