PURPOSE:To provide a substantial improvement over an effect of artistic design of an air conditioner by a method wherein the air conditioner is hung and held in an installation plate fixed to a wall and a fitting having an engagement piece is inserted into an upper and side clearance generated between the air conditioner and the wall. CONSTITUTION:When the air conditioner 1 is to be hung and held in the installation plate 2 fixed to a wall 4 etc., a fitting 6 of U-shape having an engagement piece 6a is inserted into the upper and side clearance formed between the air conditioner 1 and the wall 4. The fitting part having this engagement piece 6a is of a solid material and the projection part is of a soft material, so that they are easily and closely contacted and engaged with the wall surface. In this way, when the fitting 6 is to be inserted into and fitted to the end part of the air conditioner 1, a smooth insertion and engagement of the member can be assured and at the same time the air conditioner 1 can be closely fitted to the wall, resulting in that it is made possible to make a substantial improvement of an effect in design of the air conditioner 1. |
