PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature rise in the cource where coolant is inhaled into a cylinder by forming a sound arrester on the intake head chamber side of a sealed type compressor from heat-insulating material and forming the intake port of the sound arrester close to the opened port part of an outside intake pipe. CONSTITUTION:A skirt part 11 is installed under an intake head chamber 7, and an expansion chamber 12 made of the heat insulating material such as thermosetting resin, thermoplastic resin, ceramics, etc. is joined onto the skirt part 11 through press fitting, adhesion, etc. The pipe part 14 of a resonance chamber 4a made of metals is inserted into the cylindrical projection 13 inside the expansion chamber 12 and fixed, and the intake port of the resonance chamber 4a is formed preferably as close as 5cm or less to the opened port part of an outside intake pipe. Thus, the temperature rise of the inhaled coolant can be reduced and the amount of compression work can be reduced by suppressing the thermal conduction from a cylinder side by the thermal insulation due to the expansion chamber 12 and setting the intake port close to the outside intake pipe. |
