摘要 PURPOSE:To control engine knocking with good responsibility while preventing an engine output from being lost and any schock from being produced by correcting ignition timing to permit it to be delayed and an air fuel ratio to permit it to change in its rich direction and thereby returning the ignition timing to an original condition with a prescribed time constant when the engine knocking is produced. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device includes an operation state detecting means comprising a knocking sensor 16 as a knocking angle sensor 17 for detecting an engine operation state and a negative pressure sensor 18. Further, it includes a basic ignition timing determining means for receiving an output from the operation state detecting means to determine the basic ignition timing, and a control circuit 20 having a function serving as an ignition timing correcting means and an air fuel ratio control means for knocking control. The ignition timing correcting means serves to correct the basic ignition timing by a prescribed amount in the direction of an angle to be delayed while serves to allow an engine to be returned with a prescribed time constant after delayed. In addition, the air-fuel ratio control means controls an air fuel ratio of mixed gas in the rich direction by a prescribed amount at generation of knocking and returns the air-fuel ratio to an original value after the ignition timing is returned.
