PURPOSE:To make polishing for a metal mold projecting part ever so easy as well as to aim at improvements in operation efficiency, by holding a polishing body, having elasticity and sticking abrasives on its outer surface, with a holding member, while polishing a work in a way of pressing the polishing body to the work. CONSTITUTION:A polishing device is formed of locking a polishing body 1 to a holding member 2 by means of a bonding agent 3, while the polishing body 1 is of almost spherical in type and its surface is made up of sponge urethene rubber dispersing granular abrasives of Carborundum or the like, and a partically projected convex part 1a is secured tight to the holding member 2 by a bonding agent. Likewise, the holding member 2 is of tubular form, and its material in quality uses metal or resin. When this is used, an operator grips the holding member 2 and presses the surface of the polishing body 1 to a projecting part of a metal mold W to be polished, reciprocating it, thus polishing takes place. Like this, work is easy to be done and the operator is in no case fatigued so that machining efficiency is well improvable. |
