Single piece bicycle hub - has one rim with thread, one with bearing track, several different diameter sprockets and free wheel facility

The single piece bicycle hub (1) has two rims (1a) (1b) to which the spokes are fitted. One rim (1b) has a thread (1c) on its inner surface and the other rim (1a) has a bearing track (1d). A shaft (10) is threaded at each end (10a) and is fixed to the bicycle frame by nuts (11) (12) (13) (14). A cylindrical part (2) is screwed to the rim thread (1c) and has an annular extension with two ball tracks (2b) (2c) and another with a single ball track. On the outer ball races runs another hollow hub (5) to which is fitted a sleeve carrying a number of chain sprockets (6) of different diameters. A freewheel facility is also provided.
