The composite portable shoe-shine implement includes a polish dispenser (4) and separate brushing (21), application (22), and polishing (23) brushes. The brushes are mounted on an incrementally rotating spindle (61) which enables them to be brought individually into a deployed position. The dispenser (4) may be housed in a hollow handle (11). The implement comprises a cup shaped housing (11), a clip-on cover (3), and a hollow handle (11) which projects radially from the lateral housing wall. the three brushes are disposed at 120 deg. relative to one another and about the spindle, so as to be exposed in turn at the housing mouth. The brushes may be mounted a triangular block (2) which is keyed onto the spindle (61).
