PURPOSE:To automatically adjust the level of a workpiece support member and as well to shorten the time for this adjustment, by providing, on the stationary side, a rotary drive device for elevating the workpiece support member by means of a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:The one end of a lift and carry type transfer bar 10 is connected to a carrying cylinder 11 so that the bar 10 is allowed to move in the vertical direction. Further, a wedge member moves back and forth in association with the rotation of a rotary shaft 16 so that a workpiece support member 15 vertically moves. A extending cylinder and a servomotor corresponding to a third maching station are operated under NC instructions in such a condition that the bar 10 has advanced and descended, and therefore, the workpiece supporting member 15 corresponding to the third machining station is adjusted to a level which is flush with the supporting surface of a recess in the workpiece. With this arrangement the height of the member 15 may be automatically adjusted so that the time for adjusting the level of the member 15 may be shortened. |
