摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable to enhance the degree of integration and operating speed, by a method wherein driving transistors for driving heating resistors are constituted of MOS transistors, and a power source voltage for the heating resistors is impressed on gate terminals of the MOS transistors, in a printer. CONSTITUTION:When the driving circuit is operated, logical voltage data are inputting into gates 5-1-5-32 through a 32-bit shift register 3 and a 32-bit latch 4, signals from gates corresponding to bits for printing turn ON the corresponding ones of voltage-converting circuits 11-1-11-32, and corresponding ones of driving MOS transistors 10-1-10-32 are turned ON by impressing a high voltage VHD on the gate terminals thereof. For example, if the logical voltage is 5V and the power source voltage VHD for driving the heating resistors is 13-15V, the driving capability of the driving transistors 10 becomes 2.6-3 times, and the degree of integration also becomes 2.6-3 times. Accordingly, the chip area of the entire body of the driving circuit is reduced to about 1/2, and high-speed operation of about 10MHz as clock speed can be performed.</p>
