PURPOSE:To unitize a driving means and enable to simplify a printer-controlling circuit, by a construction wherein a single printing head is provided with a plurality of printing parts, and a plurality of receiving bases for printing are provided correspondingly to the printing parts, in a cash register or the like. CONSTITUTION:The printing head 1 is provided with printing chips CP1, CP2 at the printing parts 1a, 1b, and electric currents are passed to coils L1, L2. The electric current flowing in the coil L1 is varied by a controlling signal from the printer-controlling circuit to operate the chip CP1, whereby the printing part 1a is moved from the left end to the right end of a platen by a driving means 5 to print in one line on a receipt 10 and a journal 11. On the other hand, the printing part 1b prints in one line on a slip 12. Accordingly, the driving means can be unitized, the printer-controlling circuit is simplified, and printing mechanisms for different purposes can be contained in the same casing. |
