发明名称 PRODUCTION OF THIN FILM MAGNETIC HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent diffusion between a thin magnetic film and a glass material for regulating a gap and to obtain a magnetic head having good linearity of the gap and high adhesive strength of core blocks by controlling the content of Pb in the glass and bonding the core blocks at the temp. at which only the glass in the central part of the gap melts. CONSTITUTION:An MnO-NiO non-magnetic ferrite is used for a non-magnetic base plate 12 and a ''Sendust'' alloy film is used as a thin magnetic film. Low melting Pb glass is sputtered on the butt surfaces of core blocks 51 and 52 under control of electric power for sputtering to deposit a thin glass film 13 in which the glass in contact with the thin magnetic film contains Pb at a low rate and the glass in the central part of the gap contains Pb at a high rate on said surfaces. The film 13 is melted to adhere the core blocks and to regulate the gap width. The glass at the boundary of the thin film does not melt and the gap having good linearity without diffusion is obtd. This method is also effective for a thin film magnetic film for which a thin ferromagnetic film of ''Permalloy'', amorphous, etc. is used.
