PURPOSE:To obtain a maintenance supporting method which handles easily a difficult problem and facilitates the increase in knowledge by performing retrieval in a computer system wherein the knowledge of maintenance operators and a supervisor is stored in a memory at an operator's request. CONSTITUTION:The maintenance operators 2a, 2b, and 2c perform maintenance inspection or fault diagnosis as to objective facilities 3a, 3b, and 3c, and if a difficult problem occurs, the operator is informed of that and obtains information from the computer system on in conversation basis to let an operator at the actual site know that. The operator inputs a sheet showing questions and ansers, and Yes/No branches to a computer 6b by punching a card. The questions are displayed by items and answers to the questions are retrieved in the computer 6 by operator's Yes/No inputs. The operator 5 transmits the answers to the operators 2a, 2b, and 2c by facsimile, etc. |
