PURPOSE:To enable the transmitting timing of a passage completing signal to be charged, by a method wherein, in a sensor for an object to be conveyed which has an actuator falling down resulting from contact with an object to be conveyed moving within a passage, the actuator is adapted to be changeable in its length. CONSTITUTION:A sensor S, formed as a reed switch, has a magnet 3a which swings to and away from a reed unit part 3 in conformity with swing of an actuator lever Sa, and the actuator lever Sa is energized clockwise about an axis part 4 through an energizing spring 5. When the lever Sa is rotated counterclockwise against the spring 5 resulting from contact of an object P to be conveyed with the sensor S, the magnet 3a is separated from the reed unit part 3 and this causes a sensor S to generate an OFF signal. In which case, detachable installation of the auxiliary actuator 8 to the lever Sa permits delay of the transmitting timing of a passage completing signal provided when an object to be conveyed completes to pass through the sensor S. |
