<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the driving load of a magnetic tape when the tape position is detected by moving the 2nd or 1st magnetic head to the tape by means of the 1st or 2nd magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:When the energization of a play solenoid is released in a reverse reproduction mode, a control hole 24a of a head substrate 24 has a touch with a control shaft 46a of a control plate 30. Then a magnetic head 26 has a shallow touch with a magnetic tape 76 with a magnetic head 25 separated from the tape 76 respectively. When a reel drive disk 15 is revolved at a high speed to drive the tape 76 at a high speed, the tape position is detected in a reverse mode. When the tape position is detected in a forward mode, the working head 25 has a shallow touch with the tape 76 with the inactive head 26 separated from the tape 76 respectively. In this way, the driving load of the tape 76 is reduced and then the torque of a reel motor is reduced. Thus a miniature motor having small capacity is available and the wear of the magnetic head is reduced.</p> |
