PURPOSE:To execute a branching from an optional place by containing one piece each of an optical fiber into each groove between many pleats projected from the center part whose section is circular or polygonal. CONSTITUTION:A section of a center part 22 of a sector 20 is circular or polygonal, and a tension member 24 of, for instance, FRP is contained in its center. For instance, five pleats 26 are projected toward the outside from the center part 22. As for this pleat 26, for instance, its section is semicircular, and a groove 28 is formed between its recessed part and a projecting part of the adjacent pleat 26. An optical fiber 40 is contained by one piece each in each groove 28. In this regard, the diameter of the semicircular recessed part is roughly equal to the diameter of the optical fiber 40. As for the optical fiber 40, its outside circumference is covered about 3/4 with its semicircular recessed part and the projecting part of the adjacent pleat 26, therefore, it is seen from the outside, and can be taken out easily. Also, a width of an inlet 30 of the groove 28 is made a little smaller than the diameter of the optical fiber 40, and the optical fiber 40 is in a state contained in the groove unless an external force is applied. |
