PURPOSE:To prevent the end of string in a fully wound bobbin from being wound over an empty bobbin, in a turret type winder for winding the string to be fed continuously over two spindles alternatively, by providing a shielding board movably between an empty bobbin and fully wound bobbin. CONSTITUTION:When winding the string Y over a bobbin B on a spindle 2 at the winding position (a), a shielding board 16 fixed through a screw to a slider 18 along the left/right guide rods 17 is slided downward to wait at the position not engagable with the string Y. Upon full winding of bobbin B, a turret 1 is rotated by 180 deg. to bring the spindle 3 to the winding position (a), then a rotary guide 44 is functioned to cut the string Y between the fully wound bobbin and empty bobbin. Here, the end of string of fully wound bobbin B at the waiting position (b) where it is idling after cutting, is blocked by the shielding board 16 from the upper empty bobbin B to prevent from being wound over the empty bobbin B. |
