PURPOSE:To attain the automatic tracking control with low cost by recording and reproducing a certain electric signal after multiplexing it to a main signal under a prescribed rule. CONSTITUTION:For each track, 0 (=A.sinomegat) and pi (=A.sin(omegat+pi)) are provided alternately every two continuous blocks in the track scanning direction. For the relationship between signals ''0'' and ''pi'' of a certain track and another track which is adjacent to the first track at the lower side, the distribution pattern of signal of a certain track is shifted forward (opposite to the track scanning direction) to obtain the pattern of another track signal. These signals are multiplexed to a main signal and recorded through the proper processing in order to obtain such a distribution pattern of signals. The amplitude is shown by A for both signals ''0'' and ''pi''. The signal distributed in such a way are used for detection of the tracking error information. |
