PURPOSE:To achieve quick and reliable paper succeeding work, by employing a pair of pressure rolls supported eccentrically when succeeding to new paper roll upon extinction of old one. CONSTITUTION:When feeding a web 27 from one winding roll through jointing device 3a, speed regulator 2, etc. to next process, if said web was near extinct, the left carriage 12 is moved to the left through rotation of a screw shaft 14 to incline the left rail 15 downward around a pin 25. Under this state, a web 26 is pulled out from another winding roll then passed over a pressure roll 7 supported by an eccentric bush 9 and vacuum adsorbed to the outercircumference of said roll 7. Thereafter, the excessive end of web 26 is cut and both face adhesive tape is applied on the cut end section then the carriage 12 is reset to the original position by a succeeding command to operate the cylinder 13 and perform the succeeding work. |
