FORGING DEVICE OF MOLTEN METAL

PURPOSE:To decrease the temp. drop of a molten metal by inserting a vertically movable pressurizing plunger into a lower die to form a pressurizing cavity between said plunger and an upper mold and pressurizing and solidifying the molten metal injected into the die cavity via the pressurizing cavity. CONSTITUTION:A pressurizng plunger 6 is vertically movably inserted into a through-hole 5a penetrated to a lower die 5 and a recess 7 for storing a molten metal is provided by a top surface 6a and an annular projecting line 6b. A projecting part 8 for extruding a molten metal is provided to an upper die 3 to form a cavity 9 for pressurizing the molten metal by the recess 7 and the projecting part 8. The molten metal is injected into an injecting passage 10 and the plunger 6 is raised to close the injecting port of the passage 10 facng the cavity 9. When the pojecting part 8 advances into the recess 7, the extruded melt is injected through a communicating hole 12 into a die cavity 11. The cavities 9, 11 are held under specified pressure for several seconds and the solidification ends. The temp. drop of the molten metal is thus decreased and the pouring equipment is made smaller in size.
