PURPOSE:To prevent fog and stains, and to enhance the resistances and fastnesses to light and heat of a dye image by using a specified 2-equiv. type yellow or magenta coupler. CONSTITUTION:An intended silver halide color photosensitive material is obtained by using at least one kind of 2-equiv. yellow or magenta coupler having of groups represented by formulae I , II, and III in which Ar is di- or tri-valent aryl; and each or R1-R3 is an alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group. As an example of the yellow 2-equiv. coupler, the one of formula IV, etc., and as that of magenta 2-equiv. coupler, the one of formula V, etc. are used generally in an amt. of 2X10<-3>-5X10<-1> mole per mole of silver halide in an emulsion layer and it may be used in combination with other yellow or magenta couplers. |
