PURPOSE:To prevent surely the deviation of a gripped work by pressing a gripper pawl provided with rugged parts on the work gripping surfaces fitted to each other by a press device prior to pressing thereby gripping the work. CONSTITUTION:A press device grips a work 2a with the gripper pawl 15 of a gripper device 14, feeds linearly the work in synchronization with the cycle operation of a press device via a slide table 13 by the operation of a screw shaft 18 and subjects the work to punching pressing by means of a die set 5 consisting of punches 6, 7 and dies 11, 12. A projecting part 40 and a hole 41 which are rugged parts to be fitted to each other are formed on the work gripping surface of said gripper pawl 15 and the movable pawl 30 thereof. The work 2a is preliminarily gripped by said gripping surface and the pawl 15 is pressed by a receiving base 43 provided to the press device and a punch 43 prior to punching pressing to deform S plastically a part of the work 2a, by which the work is surely gripped to the pawl 15. |
