PURPOSE:To obtain an underfloor type KOTATSU (foot warmer), the height of a top board thereof can be adjusted in a stepless manner, its adjustable range is wide, which can be utilized in a multipurpose manner as a sitting table, a table, etc., height thereof can be adjusted easily and a leg post thereof is not brought to an obstacle because of one leg. CONSTITUTION:An extensible type leg post 5 is erected at the center of the bottom board of a box-shaped KOTATSU proper 4 mounted under a floor surface 3, and an outer-circumferential shaped top board 6 which can be received in the KOTATSU proper 4 is fitted to the upper end of the leg post 5. The leg post 5 consists of a square pipy outer cylinder 7 and a square pipy inner cylinder 8 fitted and inserted into the outer cylinder 7 vertically movably. With the outer cylinder 7, a lower section is penetrated through the bottom board 4a of the KOTATSU proper 4, and it is reinforced by plate ribs 9 and screwed to the lower surface of the bottom board 4a. A locking device 20 has an expansion rod 23 composed of a cylinder 21 and a rod 22, and the upper end of the rod 22 is fixed to an upper seat 17 and the lower end of the cylinder 21 to a lower seat 18 by bolts and nuts respectively. The locking device 20 functions so that the rod 22 is slid freely in the axial direction when turning a release lever 24 and large locking force can be given in the axial direction when returning the release lever 24. |
