PURPOSE:To improve sliding and following properties with respect to the inner periphery of a cam ring by a method wherein the inserting holes of respective vanes are communicated at the inner side of the sliding parts of respective vanes to keep respective vanes in balanced conditions at all times through oil, with which a space formed by the communication is filled. CONSTITUTION:The inserting holes of respective vanes are communicated at the inner side of the sliding parts of the vanes 8 while the volume of the space 10 formed by the communication are designed so as to be constant in a condition that respective vanes 8 contact with the inner periphery 2a of the cam ring even when a rotor 4 is situated at any position of rotating angle. The space 10 is filled with the liquid 11, whereby respective vanes 8 are kept in relatively balanced condition through the fluid filling the space 10 either the rotation of the rotor 4 is being stopped or in the rotating and operating condition with any speed. Further, the contacting pressure of respective vanes 8 with the inner periphery 2a of the cam ring is kept uniform and constant at all times. As a result, the sliding and following properties of respective vanes 8 with respect to the inner periphery 2a of the cam ring may be improved, jumping of the vanes 8 may be eliminated and a high performance, excellent in silence and durability, may be obtained. |
