PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption at non-recording by controlling an operting power supply to an automatic focus control circuit in response to the operating mode of a recording and reproducing system in a video camera having an automatic focus function. CONSTITUTION:The operating power supply to the automatic focus control circuit 10 is controlled in response to the operating mode of a recording section. When the recording section is not in the operating mode such as the recording mode, even if a standby switch S-SB is turned on, so long as a push switch S-PSH is not turned on, the automatic focus operation is stopped automatically. Thus, useless automatic focus operation is inhibited. |
