PURPOSE:To efficiently occlude and release hydrogen by securing the uniform heating and cooling by stirring the inside of the hydrogen storage container of a hydrogen storage apparatus which uses metal halides. CONSTITUTION:Since a metal halide is generally brittle and minutely powdered an nearly period through the repetition of occlusion and release, an impeller or agitator arm 2 is installed into a hydrogen storage container 3, and is revolved by an inside or outside driving apparatus 4, and metal halides 1 are stirred, and cooled in case of occlusion and heated in case of release. The hydrogen storage container 3 is a pressure container which carries-out pressurization and decompression for the internal pressure. Though the metal halide minutely powdered has an extremely deteriorated thermal conductivity, uniform heating and cooling is secured through agitation, and a large amount of hydrogen can be occluded and released efficiently. |
