PURPOSE:To increase the output and efficiency of a gas engine utilizing gas pressure for output control, by raising its volumetric efficiency by pulsation effect by connecting a container opened at one end to an intake passage and thereby producing resonance in the intake system. CONSTITUTION:A gas passage 4 having a gas governor 5 is connected to a venturi portion 2 formed in an intake passage 1, so that the amount of gas ejected from the gas passage is increased with pressure drop at the venturi portion 2 that is increased with increasing of the velocity of air flow. Furhter, a container 9 opened at one end thereof is attached, via a constricted portion, to the intake passage 1 on the downstream side of a throttle valve 3. With such an arrangement, the pulsation effect utilizing resonance can be obtained by appropriately selecting the sectional area A of siad constricted portion, the volume V of the internal space of the container 9 and the length Lin of the intake passage 1. |
