PURPOSE:To reduce damages of a road surface while preventing spike pins from comming off and being sunk, by selecting the dimensions of the tip section, shank section and flange section of a spike pin in accordance with a spike hole in a tire. CONSTITUTION:A spiked tire is provided with spike pins 2 each having a tip section which is adapted to be made into contact with a road surface and which is embeded and secured in a shank section 7, and each fitted into a spike hole 3 formed in the tire. In this arrangement, estimating that the diameters of the flange section 4, shank section, pitch section of the spike pin 2 are R1, R2, R3, respectively, each spike pin 2 is formd such that following relations, 0.57<=R2/R1 0.65, and 0.31<=R3/R1<=0.33 are satisified. Further, estimating that the diameters of the bottom 12 and barrel 11 of the spike hole 3 are R4, R5, respectively, each spike hole 3 is formed such that the following relations, 0.75<=R5/R4<=0.80, 2.6<= R1/R4<=2.7, and 1.87<=R2/R5<=2.20, are satisfied. |
