PURPOSE:To improve car-mounting properties as well as to make control of a spring characteristic ever so easy, by coupling one side of either a cylinder or a piston of a buffer, to one side of a car body and a suspension member. CONSTITUTION:Each of double Wishbone-type front suspension couples a knuckle 8, rotatably supporting a wheel 7, to position between tip ends of upper control arms 1 and 4 pivotally attached to each cross member 2 via ball joints 5a and 6. And, a buffer spring 13 and a spring characteristic controller body 14 are installed interposingly between a lower sheet 11 installed in a lower arm 1 and an upper sheet 12 installed in the cross member 2. In this case, a rod 29 solidly installed on the top of a cylinder 17 of the body 4 is bufferedly coupled to the cross member 2 via auxiliary springs 35 and 36. In addition, both upper and lower chambers of the cylinder 17 are connected to an accumulator 45 via solenoid on-off valves 39 and 40. |
