<p>PURPOSE:To make it impossible to copy a duplicate key so that a reliable lock device is obtained, by incorporating magnets in a key and a lock, respectively, so that when the key is fitted into the lock, and the same poles of the magnets in both key and lock are met, the lock may be released. CONSTITUTION:In a wheel assembly in which a wheel 2 is secured to a wheel hub 1 by screwing a wheel nut 4 onto an attaching bolt 3 integrally incorporated with the wheel hub 1, and a wheel lock 5 is provided to the nut 4, the wheel lock 5 is composed of an outer cylinder 51 and an intermediate member 54. When the magnet storing hole 71 of a magnet casing 7 disposed in a cavity formed in the top section of the outer cylinder 51, is met with an engaging hole 64 formed in the top surface plate of a rotor 6, a magnet 72 is engaged into the storing hole 71 by means of a spring 73 so that the rotor 6 is held to be impossible to rotate. Further, due to engagement of a latch retainer 63 extending axially of the rotor 6, with a latch 8, the tapered end of the latch 8 is held to be engaged with the front end of the nut 4, thereby the pulling-out of the lock 5 is inhibited.</p> |
