摘要 PURPOSE:To stabilize combustion upon idling by a method wherein the fluctuation of engine revolving number in a predetermined time upon idling after warm-up is detected and the ignition timing is delayed when the fluctuation is higher than a predetermined value while the timing is advanced when the fluctuation is lower than the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 34, consisting of micro-computers, decides the idling condition after warm-up by the signals of a cooling water temperature sensor 24, a throttle switch 7 and a vehicle speed sensor 35, then, detects the fluctuation of engine revolving number by the signal of an engine rotating angle sensor 32 and delays the ignition timing when the detected fluctuation is higher than the predetermined value while advances the ignition timting when the fluctuation is lower than the predetermined value. The fluctuation of the engine revolving number can be operated from the number of times of descending of the engine revolving number and the integral value of a difference between the average value of the engine revolving numbers during a predetermined period of time and the present revolving number of the engine. The control may be effected by the fluctuation of air-fuel ratio detected by an O2 sensor 22 instead of the fluctuation of the engine revolving number. According to this method, the combustion upon idling may be stabilized and the consumption of fuel may be improved.
