PURPOSE:To obtain a master-slice type integrated circuit which remarkably increases in signal pins in the same area by repeatedly disposing regularly cells which are formed of an input buffer circuit and an input/output buffer circuit or an output buffer circuit at least at one side of a semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:Cells which are formed of an input buffer circuit and an input/ output buffer circuit of an output buffer circuit are repeatedly disposed regularly at least at one side on a semiconductor substrate. For example, in case of a structure having the input/output buffer circuit and the input buffer circuit, regions 31, 32 on which output buffer transistors are disposed, regions 33, 34 on which input protecting circuits are disposed, regions 35, 36 on which control transistors are disposed, and pads 37, 38 are provided. Since two signals of an input signal and an input/output signal (any of input, output and input/output signals) can be held by the one input/output buffer circuit block, a master-slice type semiconductor integrated circuit in which the signal pins can be remarkably increased in the same area can be obtained. |
