PURPOSE:To produce a significant corrosion inhibiting effect by blending glucoheptoic acid or a salt thereof with a (meth)acrylic acid-base polymer. CONSTITUTION:This corrosion inhibitor consists of glucoheptoic acid or a salt thereof and a (meth)acrylic acid-base polymer in 1:(0.1-100) weight ratio, and it is used at 1-5,000ppm, especially 5-800ppm concn. The (meth)acrylic acid-base polymer is a homopolymer of (meth)acrylic acid or a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid with one or more among allylsulfonic acid, polyethylene glycol monoallyl ether and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. |
