Peak value rectifier

The invention relates to a peak value rectifier for RF applications, using transistors. The task of rectifying very small alternating-voltage signals with high temperature stability, without DC offsets and without having to take into consideration diode threshold voltages, is achieved by forming two branches, the peak value being present in one branch and the mean value being present in the other branch. A differential amplifier then forms the difference between these two branches and outputs a signal proportional to the peak value to the output.
