A recording device in the form of a solid recording element for an endoscope arrangement images an actual length between two points which is represented on the image of an object, for example of a point effected by an illness, on an imaging device. The endoscope arrangement is equipped with a device for measuring distance from the difference in the distributions of the light received by two set of receiving elements, the distributions depending on the distance of the object to be observed. A light-conducting part is provided and the actual length between two marked points is imaged on the image, calculated from the fixed length. <IMAGE>
